The Basshouse era had began with a away trip to Healfield, A team that had last season finished above the lads so it was
important to set the record straight and show how much our hard work in training was paying off, and from the off
bassa looked sharp the defence knocked the ball around comfortably with a relaxed approach, the midefield were working
extremely hard with Walshaw terrorising from the left hand side, The one man striker Darka worked well holding the ball
up brilliantly for Walters,Stevenson and Kirton to get efforts on goal. The deadlock was eventually broken when a long
pass was played over the top by skipper Stevenson putting Walshaw through to score. Bassa held out the second half
using all there substitutions it was safe to say not one player had a off day, and games like this surely will give the lads
belief to go on and do well this season.
